LECGI (Louisville KY Office) is looking for Structural Engineer with minimum 3-year experience in structural design, proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to follow instructions. Candidate with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience is a plus. Training will be provided on related design software and BIM software for structural steel.

Responsibilities and Duties
· Perform structural calculations, design and detailing for structural building elements, based on current building codes and specifications
· Review and interpret technical documents and designs
· Correspond directly with clients, design professionals and contractors
· Preparing AutoCAD drawings and/or 3D model to present design and details of structures
· Coordinate with designer and detailer to create drawings
· Will be required to follow and be knowledgeable of all company standards, policies and procedures
· Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the project schedule
· Good planning and organizational skills required for fast paced environment
· Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
· Willing to work overtime when requested

Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Structural Engineering
· Minimum 3 years experience in Structural Design/ Structural Engineering.
· Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents.
· Ability to compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts.
· Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
· Able to work independently, and work effectively in a team environment.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word) and CAD software (AutoCAD).
· 3D modeling experience using Tekla structures or another 3D BIM program is a plus.
· Knowledge or experience with steel detailing is a plus.
